Time's eye ( a time odyssey)

Just wanted to write a quick post on this new ( atleast for us) series written by Arthur C Clarke in collaboration with stephen Baxter. It does make for compulsive reading and has given us something new in the genre of science fiction. It is an "orthoquel" of the original odyssey series and steps into a new world created by aliens (firstborn) made up of different pieces (literally) of earth since humanity began, each piece a representative of different time periods on earth. How?, why? and do the humans survive on this abnormal planet? is the centreplot of this series. i really liked the first book, and i am keenly looking forward to the second (sunstorm).

I am pretty sure all science fiction fans are going to love this book.

why i liked jaane tu ya jaane na ..

when i watch a movie,i expect it to entertain me, make me happy, or make me think, make me wonder or fascinate me.
Of course i am not going to say the movie "Jaane tu ya jaane na" did all that to me, but it did leave a sweet feeling at the end. Attention to detail is something i really enjoy in a movie, and this movie, along with other things had ample doses of that. For instance, when in Jiggi's party, the couple starts to dance, he motions to his friend " hey ramesh, dim the lights" That really caught me and left me impressed. That's how it usually happens, isnt it? in real life. These things don't happen automatically, somebody has to go and do it. the movie mostly was like that. an extremely likeable star cast with a lovely screenplay and dialogues made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Of course AR rehman's music once again leaves you wanting more. (but i think its a good thing he works for a few selected movies only). All the songs are very enjoyable and you can keep listening to them over and over again.

Imran is the next generation version of aamir khan, and is a delight. Genelia is a very pretty, bubbly 'phenomenon', and i am sure most of the youngsters would be wishing for a girl friend just like her ( well! of course they will wish for her first). i do want to mention here(scream out! would be a better word) that - "god! she's got pretty eyes!!!!!

it is already the years biggest blockbuster..and its gonna keep doing well.

anonymous huh??? SUPER COOL aint it?

Well ..thats a real cool thing - to have an anonymous friend leave a comment on your blog.. I kinda have an idea as to who it is. but hey!lets keep up with the game for the moment atleast..

well, for now, friends, the season indeed is over..and i have come out a bit wiser on where i stand. perhaps thats a good thing to know when you are faced with extreme competition. if we take it the right way, kinda steels one up for the future.

i am planning to shift back to mangalore soon. As much as i miss the comfort of home and friends, i really do miss home- cooked food. Staying alone means that you have to constantly think about your next meal, perhaps not as much as where it is coming from, but rather how are you going to eat it. i do like north indian food a lot, but eating from a hotel day in - and day out really puts you off the idea of FOOD entirely.
I do plan to keep studying, cos i dont feel like giving up this soon.
lets see how its gonna go.
